A Map showing vessel traffic within and through Solomon Islands EEZ. The map was developed by MACBIO as resource for the bioregions workshop in Feb 2018. Data is based on data collected by SPREP using Automatic Identification System (AIS). AIS was designed primarily as a collision avoidance system for large class vessels.
